Overview
The only quartet of its kind in the South of Italy, the Hathor Plectrum Quartet harmoniously come together to present the diverse and evocative repertoire of musical works that include classic to pop using two of the most important components traditionally associated with classic Italian sounds – a mandolin and a tenor voice.
The quartet, which consists of Antonio Schiavone (mandolin), Roberto Bascià (mandolin), Fulvio D’Abramo (mandòla) and Vito Mannarini (guitar), came together in 2010 and performs original collections of plectrum instruments such as the baroque sonatas to the 19th century Italian and German compositions, and even contemporary music.
