Don’t miss the big race this month in which several teams will be getting wet in the latest dragon boat challenge. Never heard of dragon boating? Think Hawaii 5-0, long boats with teams paddling like hell to the beat of a merciless drummer. It sounds like hard work, and it is. But it’s also great fun and a superb way to build fitness. You can book a team or contact the centre if you just want to know how to get involved. Team prices start at BD160 for booking until September 15 and BD160 thereafter. Races run from 6am to 10am and there are prizes for first, second and best time.
